The Council on Aging, a human service department of the town, through it’s Senior Center, provides a central mechanism for the delivery of services and activities to Marshfield’s elder population.
Through the use of a familiar and convenient location those needing assistance have an easily identifiable mechanism from which to seek assistance.
For others the Senior Center helps overcome feelings of isolation and loneliness that can accompany the aging process. It accomplishes this through its many varied services and programs such as exercise, weight & strength training, yoga, bridge, computer club, painting, drawing, crafts, quilting, knitting, creative writing, mah-jongg, cribbage, pinochle, coffee hours, movies, educational seminars, walking club, health screening clinics, pedi care, income tax assistance, senior golf, diabetes support group and fuel applications.
